Harbor Information
Harbor
Information includes information about harbors and anchorages. This
information is taken from the U.S. Coast Pilot and the Canadian Sailing
Directions. There is some information added by the author and is noted
that it is the authors observations and not from either of the above
official publications.
Getting to the Harbor
Information is either from the Route Directory, the Harbor Directory or
from the Charts. Any location on a chart that is in red is a link to
additional information.
Sometimes on the charts the
links are close together but are two separate links. An example of this
is Kumealon Inlet and Kumealon Island. They are two separate anchorages.
Fuel docks are noted in red in
the Route Directory. These are the major fueling stops but there are
other smaller ones and others that are off the routes.
In
2004 we stopped in nearly every harbor listed (the weather was
uncooperative from Campbell River south) and took pictures. Some of
these pictures will give you pertinent information and some are just
for fun.
